How to make cement stick to wood for verticle wall art?

I want to make an art piece as a wall hanging. Using a 4' x 6' sheet of plywood - I want to adhere cement to the plywood and then place items in the cement (ie broken bits of glass, small rocks, shells etc.) - like a collage or mosaic. Is my tile guy taking more time than necessary?

We are remodeling a bathroom. The tile guy (found by our contractor) seems to be taking longer than necessary and is paid by the hour. (I know, stupid). The area to be tiled is a shower, total of 130 sq feet for the walls. The tile is Glazed porcelain, using 12 x 12 pieces, staggered look, so their are two 6 inch end pieces on every other row. There is a 2in border through the middle, using mosaic tile. Six round cuts had to be made for jets and faucets. He has worked four 8 hour days and still isnt finished placing the tile, no grout work done yet. Does that sound like he is taking too long? The work looks great so far, but we are afraid he is taking advantage of us. He still has to do the shower floor then the bathroom floor, but if he is stretching this job out, we will just find someone else to finish it. When I say 4 days, I mean 4 days of just tile, time for teardown and placing backerboard is not included in this 4 days. He took forever for that part too though!!

I head seems so messed up. I haven't cut myself in a little less than a year but when I did cut myself I felt so happy. It hurt to cut myself, but once it was done I felt so good. Just read the negative comment on Fuji and the positive one on Sony. Not by my experiences! Sony refused to repair after the product had exceeded the warranty by "10" days! Fuji on the other hand excepted my camera after two years out of warranty and I of course asked for an estimate, as digital cameras are usually more expensive to repair than replace. Turned out that the Fuji repair cost me NOTHING! Seems it was a defect that Fuji choose to repair at no cost to me! Now That is a company I like doing business with! Fuji could have easily told me the repair was much dollars. I would not have known the difference!

Coaster mosaic on a wooden tray, how to glue/grout?

I'm assuming that the coasters are cork and the mosaic is tile, so all you would have to do (I think) is get some glue for the coasters and use a clamp for a few hours, and... I don't really know about the grout. Usually I just go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask them how to do it.

My aunt needs help. She has constant stress, including running a business with her husband, having four children (3 with mental disorders), and having multiple health issues. She has been having panic attacks for 13 years and has evolved to get worse. She has survived from breast cancer, and continues to suffer from depression, thyroid issues, heart issues, Reynolds disease, premature ventricular contractions, and the list goes on. She has no health insurance and people that have been her "rock" have been leaving her behind. She knows she needs help , but is at the end of her rope. What is wrong with me and why am I like this?

My head is like chaos... it is like suppressed thoughts all going round in my head at once. Sometimes I get flashbacks of bad things that have happened in my life (being bullied etc) and it is making my life hell. I have a new friend called Sharon and she said I could come up to her house but when I got there she said she didn't want me there so I suddenly felt even worse... like intense rage and went back home and started slashing my wrists to get rid of all the pain. On top of that, I have a 'friend' that comes round everyday just to use my internet connection and drink my tea and when I tell him to leave or when I am going to go out he starts complaining and saying that I don't think of other people so I am forced to stay in while he downloads games but I don't know how to get rid of him because if I try too hard he shouts at me. I feel like I am a messed up individual in this chaotic world. I am confused and don't know what to do anymore... The only thing that really briefly takes my mind off everything is visiting my local graveyard and sitting on the bench. I talk to the dead people, they are the only real friends I have. My stomach and chest doesn't feel right, I have often thought of what a relief it would be to stab myself in the chest, not just to die but to get rid of that numb feeling that I have in my chest.

Since I was little, I have been going to Six Flags Great America just about every year. While most of the big roller coasters, such as the Viper, Superman, and Raging Bull, have a smooth ride, I have noticed lately that the Demon and Iron Wolf roller coasters have a rather bumpy and whiplash causing ride, and in fact yesterday when I was at Great America, I nearly got whiplashed pretty badly while riding the Iron Wolf roller coaster. Some time ago my grade school son was accused of striking a teacher , meeting with the school staff to avoid suspension my son had a psychologist recommended by the school to find out what's wrong (he did not display this behavior at home) long story short the teacher reporting this bad behavior was physically abusing my son by kicking him in the back , on one occasion he fought back in the same manner which prompted the teacher to use the system to punish him. At the school meeting prior to the school recommended psychologist sessions, the teacher who did this revealed herself and her level of rage by acting very defensive to the embarrassment of the school board members. After this incident I lost all faith and trust in school staff , I felt they knowingly lied about the situation. The details not mentioned by this teacher with other children as victims and witnesses came out in a full report to the school. My son is almost thirty now , but I'll never forget that lying teacher . From what I've seen and heard across the country and the corruption going on with school officials and the wasting of funds they deserve to lose their collective bargaining rights. Please post your experiences with out of control school staff , and always question school authorities for the facts. If your kid's school calls you and says your kid hit a teacher and the police were not called something is already wrong.

I have two incredibly talented sisters who both went to art school. Every year they make her extravagant mother's day gifts, quilts, hand-sown passport covers, a mosaic bowling ball, etc. Problem is, I am not crafty and she only likes hand made gifts! And this year is a particularly special mothers day because it will be my first one sober since I was 20, and my mom will be in India on mothers day visiting my sister who works at an orphanage. For all that she has done for me I want to think of something incredible and creatively hand made, it doesn't matter how much time it takes, I have two weeks to make it. I would like to use really cool materials, she loves antiques, antique fabrics, mosaic things, swallows and doves. I want it to be shabby chic and really awesome, please help me out with ideas! I only realize it afterwards, when our conversation is over, that I just spent all this time, talking to myself. the fact that I know that there is something wrong with me but dont' know what, is driving me even more insane.

lately my dad has been unusually aggressive he does not abuse any1 or anything, but he just rages very often and whenever me or my bro step out of line even unintentunaly he rages badly, and confiscates our equipment. yesterday he confiscated my mobile b/c i tripped and dropped a few papers he wanted. what had happened was he called me from outside about 6 inc out of the house and asked me to get a few papers from his briefcase i got them for him and steeped outside, but i did not have my shoe on so i could not go passed the yard. he was in the car just outside and on the phone i w8ed till he finished and said "dad i don't have my shoe on atm mind stepping out of ur car and taking the paper" he raged a bit (tbh i don't blame him) and asked me to go put on my shoe and come out, and i did but on the way i tripped and fell with the papers in my hand i quickly piled them back up and gave them to him (he ofc saw the papers falling) the papers where perfectly fine all that had happened was there was a bit of dust on the folder. he went into an all caps rage and confiscated everything including my phone the annoying thing is that it is the only phone in the house with my numbers i tried transfusing them but it will just take to long i have about 350 numbers in there and the thing that actually ticks me off is that he knows i can't go more than a day without my phone i don't text or anything but i generally get a lot of urgent calls from my friends my phone is also usually on silent so it does not disturb him and i payed for it as well 100% so yea im not rly sure what to do. i tryed talking to him but every time i did he just confiscated it for a longer period of time. im thinking of swiping his visa card as soon as he gets home (in-front of him ofc) and going to the nearest atm and jacking the phones money and putting it in my bank account and as soon as i get home ill tell him to keep the damn phone i don't want it anymore this is the exact 7th time he's confiscated my phone and in all previous 6 times ive missed out on a lot and he knows it.

I've read Into the Wild. It's a good book. I chose to read it from my reading list because it was short (like 200 pages) and the most modern one on my list. Also, if you want it to work again, I suggest buying the parts yourself and trying to fix it yourself, if it works well again great, if not, it will be a fun experiment/project. That's what I did with my first guitar, and I'm glad I did, it was with that guitar that I learned how to fix broken parts or replace hardware, and now I do all my own guitar tech stuff. There was a doctor on a show that I viewed and he explained that the human brain goes through a process in its final stages. He explained the near-death experience simply as a type of dreaming mode that the brain goes through just before shutting down. This is a very understandable process in the way he explains it, but the particular stories in which people say they have left their body and seen things that only the doctor or the staff could possibly be aware of is the only thing that catches my eye. There is a picture of a cross laying across a chasm filled with fire. Most people are falling into the flames, but a few are walking across the chasm on the cross, and when they arrive at the other side they enter heaven. I didn't view it as a comedy at all. There were certainly some great lines and Mark Wahlberg plays the inexperienced young guy perfectly however it is really about the descent into drugs and how fame is fleeting and ultimately unfulfilling if you are not happy in the first place.
