Is improving 55 pounds on bench press in 9 and a half months good?

I am a sophomore at Reynolds High School and i'm 16 and 180 pounds. I started weight training at the beginning of the school year and at first i benched like 115 pounds and i now bench 170. Also i used to squat like 200 pounds and now i do 280. Is this a good improvement?
