Best baby-wearing device for 6 months+?
The Moby wrap is not very comfortable for larger babies. Keep an eye out for an Ergo on sale or even used for $50-70. I used my Ergo up until 2 weeks ago with my 18 month old daughter. You will definitely get your money worth!
Why do american trolls rage against sicilians so much?
There are very few Sicilians in total, so there is a small chance of them meeting a Sicilian in real life, and there is a perception that the Mafia is a Sicilian concept as the only idea most Americans have about them, so since they aren't afraid of the Mafia Sicilians seem a good target. If you were forced to choose a target of racism, wouldn't it be better if you chose such a small minority it was unlikely it would ever matter?
Why would a mother not tell her daughter she loves her?
my mom and i have had a very difficult relationship. I am not a raging drug addict even though she thinks i am. I promise you I am not. Yet whenever I do visit my mother I always tell her I love her, every single ime, yet she never responds. She no longer tells me she loves me when we part. Why does she not say it back to me? Doesnt she realize how bad that hurts me?
Christians, what is eternal life?
Eternity is not a long time, it's no time. That comes by knowing we are eternal children and children are experts at forgiving.
Can't remember the name of an early 90's childrens book about animals.?
I don't remember much about it, but from what I do remember the animals were slightly distorted, the art style looked mosaical without mosaic. Each page had a different animal and I'm pretty sure there was one color associated with each animal.
How to make cement stick to wood for verticle wall art?
I want to make an art piece as a wall hanging. Using a 4' x 6' sheet of plywood - I want to adhere cement to the plywood and then place items in the cement (ie broken bits of glass, small rocks, shells etc.) - like a collage or mosaic. Will the cement adhere to the plywood or do I need to use a special technique? This will be hanging outside on my deck so weather and temperatures could be and issue too. Ideas and advice appreciated.
Is my tile guy taking more time than necessary?
We are remodeling a bathroom. The tile guy (found by our contractor) seems to be taking longer than necessary and is paid by the hour. (I know, stupid). The area to be tiled is a shower, total of 130 sq feet for the walls. The tile is Glazed porcelain, using 12 x 12 pieces, staggered look, so their are two 6 inch end pieces on every other row. There is a 2in border through the middle, using mosaic tile. Six round cuts had to be made for jets and faucets. He has worked four 8 hour days and still isnt finished placing the tile, no grout work done yet. Does that sound like he is taking too long? The work looks great so far, but we are afraid he is taking advantage of us. He still has to do the shower floor then the bathroom floor, but if he is stretching this job out, we will just find someone else to finish it. When I say 4 days, I mean 4 days of just tile, time for teardown and placing backerboard is not included in this 4 days. He took forever for that part too though!!
