I think the standard for quality in both music and movies have dropped signifigantly in recent years. Why?

Anyways do you think that the fact that so many people refuse to pay for things like music or movies anymore is making the young people who might actually have some talent be deterred from the music or entertainment business? I think that our cheapness might lead to the demise of our music and entertainment. Think about it. Rebecca Black. The movie" Buried". (Starring Ryan Reynolds and only Ryan Reynolds for 2 hours). What about 25 years from now?? Is this gonna be the type of stuff that becomes the norm?? I mean what if things had been this way when Michael Jackson or even Elvis were young?? We might have never even known who they were because they decided being a garbage man was more profitable. Think about it.
